"Before"
After 30 years of having only a half-bath off the master bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and more storage space is now in place.
The following list highlights the challenges and solutions developed in this remodel:
  • Space for a neoangle shower was created by borrowing a little room from an adjacent entry hall closet on the other side of the wall.
  • Extra storage was created by using an "adult height" vanity cabinet and also angling the toilet and using space above for built-in storage.
  • Visual space was developed by the use of a large mirror and good lighting.
  • Counter top space was extended by elongating the countertop across the toilet to the shower wall.
  • Shower features large modules of 8 X 10 tile and matching 13 X 13 ceramic tiles on the floor give the room the illusion of being a larger space while providing easy clean surfaces.
  • Another easy clean surface is the TOTO toilet with the "SanaGloss" finish and the famous "Soft-Close" seat that won't slam down.
  • See Floor Plan  for a detailed "before" and "after" drawing.
