Tom Owen

Tom was born in Ithaca, NY and growing up as a "Navy brat" lived in many parts of the country. He did his undergraduate work at "tiny TU" (Tufts University) in Boston. After four years in the US Navy submarine service, Tom returned to school to complete an MBA at Stanford University. After 20+ years in the high tech field Tom finds the remodeling business a refreshing change of pace. He enjoys working in an environment where ego involvement plays a lesser role, and customer service is paramount. Tom's philosophy is "do it right the first time". Living on the Sammamish Plateau with wife, Erika and two children, Tom enjoys coaching his daughter's basketball team and painting the house....

Richard Allen Pope, CKD

A rare native Washingtonian, Richard Pope was born in Seattle. Dick is a Certified Kitchen Designer and has a degree in Business Administration with a minor in music. With over 30 years experience as a kitchen and bath designer, Dick offers the following comments on his design philosophy: "To me the most important and exciting part of a project is to assist clients in designing their space so that it reflects their needs and personalities. I don't get caught up in the latest fads or color trends. It is more important to develop the color palette and design elements that work for each situation, often helping to bring together the individual tastes and needs of two or more personalities into the same space. When a project is finished, I love to stand back and tell my clients, 'You have designed a great space for yourselves'." The downside of finishing a project is that after spending a lot of time getting to know my clients, I don't see them as often." Dick's outside interests include enjoying time with his friends, traveling, and experiencing other ways of living-especially other foods. Dick loves to cook and sing, but not necessarily at the same time! Dick currently lives in beautiful Everett.

Kayron Brewer, AKBD

Kayron Brewer, AKBD is the newest designer at Creative Kitchen & Bath, but not new to the industry. She brings over 17 years experience in the industry, post-college. Kayron actually began designing dream homes and gardens in grade school and her first real project was at the age of 12, when she designed an attic renovation for her mom and stepfather. Kayron earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interiors & Housing from Auburn University, where she was first exposed to the idea of specializing in Kitchen & Bath Design. Her experience ranges from showroom management for several national industry leaders, to designing for a design/build company, to becoming a sole proprietor in the industry. Kayron's passion for the kitchen extends beyond the design aspect, as she is an avid cook, loves trying new restaurants and new foods, and has just started writing a cookbook. One of her other passions is her adopted ex-racing greyhound, Nibs.

Dawn Ryan

Dawn Ryan joined Creative Kitchen & Bath in April 2008 after graduating with Honors from The Art Institute of Seattle with an Associate of Applied Arts degree. Dawn knew by her third quarter in school she wanted to specialize in Kitchen and Bath design. She enjoys the mixture of technical and aesthetic elements kitchen and bath design offers. "I look forward to the challenges designing kitchens and baths often present. The ability to make the clients' space functional and fitting for their needs, and to really personalize their space is a great reward." Dawn's favorite part of design is working with the clients to choose materials and finishes. "Every client has a vision for their space, whether they know it or not. I love helping clients realize their vision, helping them to make it happen by choosing beautiful materials and finishes they will enjoy for years to come." Dawn is also active in the local chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association, having served on the Board in 2008. When Dawn isn't designing she is usually cooking. Dawn loves finding new recipes and experimenting with them to make them her own. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their three dogs.
